Muuto Smoked oak is a unique smoking process that unlike surface staining, will produce a finish that penetrates deep into the oak thus allowing the wood to breathe and the grain to remain prominent rather than submerged under colour. Oak trees are renowned for their variable tannin content and smoking reacts with the tannin to produce a totally random finish with a glorious mix of shades.
